Youth  Ministry

More time and resources has been made available to prioritize ministry with the youth. Sadly we see countless youth from surrounding communities fall into a repetitive and enslaving cycle of poverty and despair. In the absence of positive role models, youth inevitably yield to the negative lifestyle habits around them. By providing these youth with a positive/faith filled environment, HOPE is able to connect with them at their level and invest in the future of Siargao Island. As these youth set their hope in Christ, they are set free from the fatalistic spirit that once bound them. It is exciting to see them thrive and bear fruit as God purposes for their lives.

Basketball, tennis, volleyball, surfing, ping pong, skateboarding and many other activities are available throughout the week as a way to develop youth and build relationships and respect with them. God continues to use these relationships as a means to draw them unto Himself. Once a week each group meets with Hope for the Island leaders to worship, pray and study God’s Word together! Pray with us about the continued burden to help provide education and skills training to out of school youth for the purpose of income generating work and poverty alleviation.
